Mark lives in Sheffield, England with his wife and two children. When not writing he is usually reading or climbing/cycling in the nearby Peak District. He is also a University Lecturer and has a PhD in Responsible Leadership, a field in which he also publishes. Beyond the Treeline is his debut novel.
Mark’s early career was in adventure education and management consultancy. He is a qualified instructor of climbing, skiing, kayaking, mountaineering and a certified paraglider pilot. His management consultancy experience extends from small new start business to multinational PLCs and NGOs where he has worked across the UK and India. He continues to develop organisation leaders in his role as a Senior Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University’s Business School.
He is passionate about making the world a better place, and his university research and PhD in Responsible Leadership are geared toward that. His fiction writing also has this focus, designed to tell a fabulous tale, but also to make us think a little deeper about ourselves, the planet and those around us.
